Truck Day
Sunday was very exciting. After church we picked C up a donut and went to "Truck Day" in Wellesley. We almost didn't go because C fell asleep in the car, but I am so glad that we did. He had SUCH a good time. There was a little petting zoo with goats as tall as him, which he found hysterical. He got to "drive" a fire truck, police car, fuel truck, digger, cement mixer, and a police motorcycle. The policeman gave him a sticker badge to make him an officer for the day, and showed him where he puts the bad guys in the back seat. On the fuel truck, he pulled some lever or pushed some button that made a steam whistle sound...he just cracked up at that.
On a much less exciting but cute note, C borrowed an "Arthur"book from daycare on Thursday. On Friday we made Arthur puppets and he was insistent on making them their own bedrooms to sleep in with blocks, and he gave them each their own blanket (a washcloth). He played with this all morning, and at night before we went to bed he made sure to put them to sleep, adjusting their "blankets" so he could see their faces. It is so funny to see him play calmly with things like this, and then run around for two hours at a playground, playing with a friend in a soccer goal and running around a baseball field.
E has had a good time being a fashionista, making her way through gifts, and having fun hanging out with her Da Da.
